I waste all my time thinking maybe tomorrow things will change for the better
But I know, I better get out of my head
Maybe my father was right when he said
Who's got it better?
Who's got it better than you?
And I guess I could learn to take his advice
It's not that bad
I'm not one for invalidation, but, maybe it's my imagination, 'cuz
Nothing's permanent, but this is pertinent
I can't get it out of my mind
If I could listen for just another minute, well
Maybe I'd have such a better time
Who's got it better?
Who's got it better than you?

Looking Good

Tomorrow’s staring me down, and I don’t know how to react, and I know you’re always telling me that you don’t get what I’m saying. Well I don’t want to explain myself again because you know I can’t articulate or get my thoughts together, come on, come on, get better at this. Well my singing was always noise to you.
Close your eyes, put yourself someplace pleasant. Don’t worry about how you’re running out of money and it all keeps adding up.
Don’t let it it overwhelm you got things to do, and it’s all on you.
So I’ll wait tables on the weekend and do 40 hours at the factory. And I’ll put in the time to get where I’m going but I can’t hear a word that I’m singing because you’re always shouting me down.
She sends me a hug. She sends me good feelings. She says “you’ll have ups and downs, just like anybody else.” Is it worth it? “I can’t answer that for you.” She says “you’ve got to take the time and find those answers for yourself.”
Tomorrow’s staring me down, and I’ve got to try to react, and I know you’ll still
be telling me that you don’t get what I’m saying. Well I’m not going to explain myself again because you know I can’t articulate or get my thoughts together, come on, come on, get better at this. Well my singing will still be noise to you.

Cruising down the avenue, top speed 3 miles per hour
My body is cold but my hands are kept warm
My life spills over
You don’t know I’m coming
I’m coming and you don’t know
At all
Call me some other time, I know you’re spending one more night alone
Do you wanna do something?
Do you something with me?
Do you wanna do something?
Do you something with me?
Where are you right now? I wish I could just make contact
Sitting on my couch, feeling lonely in my home
I talk to your sister
She knows I’m coming
I’m coming and you don’t know
At all
Call me some other time, I know you’re spending one more night alone
Do you wanna do something?
Do you something with me?
Do you wanna do something?
Do you something with me?
Knock on your door but no is home
At all
Call me some other time, I know you’re spending one more night alone
Do you wanna do something?
Do you something with me?
Do you wanna do something?
Do you something with me?
Call me some other time, I’m waiting for another night alone
Do you wanna do something?
Do you wanna do something with me?
Do you wanna do something?
Because I wanna do something with you

Feeling Good

Try to imagine yourself alone. In the summertime up on high mountain I’ve climbed, barefoot and lonesome. The clean air I’m breathing is trying to lead me someplace new; an elevated point of view. I was observing somebody trying to get by, get by. And I feel you looking over my shoulder, but I won’t control you because I am waiting until it’s right. Reveal you, I’m dreaming tall, I’m thinking about a way I’ll get there someday. I don’t got much money, but I’d give it all to you. I want to know where all the roads go, but I know I’ll never know. You want to get home soon. But Andy says you’ve got to give them options if you want to get your way. Give everybody something. I don’t have the time to think about this right now, but supposing we try could you promise me, go easy on me? Because I’m feeling like you and I should get away, away, away. So I’ll steal you for just a little bit longer, because I wanna hold you, I wanna feel your heart beating. Conceal you, my whole wide world starts crumbling away, if I’m letting it be. I don’t got much money, I don’t got much time, but if you think it’s right, and if you’ve it through, and if you know they’ve been lying to you. Try to imagine yourself alone. In the summer time stuck inside chasing a paycheck. Now I can feel the smoke in the back of my throat, and it’s providing perspective. Listen to the whole thing, is it alright? Well here’s my words anyway. Look at me, I’m trying to show the world that I’ve got some meaningful words to say. Think about how hard things are to explain. Even harder believe how long ago. How long ago again? Guess it’s hard to remember. But you’ve got to accept it. You’ll have much more money, and you’ll keep your girl, you’ll have much more time, but if you think it’s right, and if you’ve thought it through, and if you’ve thought it through
